mind that knew no bounds

The young mind that knew no bounds
But fettered by the contours of the body
Thinking the exterior is everything failed to step out
Only to be assured that it is my intelligence that matters

me?

What is the real me?
The little lass in me that wanted to scale the skies?
To yearn for the invincible
To look for the unreachable
To scour the clouds to try and etch my name amongst the stars

the wedge is driven deeper into the heart,
to bleed till death 'tears' me apart
each sec. do i sigh
to think that it wasn't 'love' as thought i

cannot mourn the passing out of joy,
cannot celebrate the coming of age.
fluttering egos clash in a golden cage,
'Love' was just another word, a mindless toy.
